The Project
When Rob Bailey rang through from The North Australian Pastoral Company, the brief was straightforward. A 1500mm race and an 800mm race at Alexandria Station needed matting, and the cattle weren’t going to wait. YoungStar 32 did the job.
Alexandria Station put YoungStar 32 rubber mats through the kind of work most yards never see. Six months in, the report back was short and to the point: “They’re going good”.
We sized the job using YoungStar 32 mats, palletised and freighted to Mt Isa for the run out to the station. Concrete went down, mats went in, and the yards were back in work.
The 5,000-head wear test
Then the real test started. 5,000 head walked across those mats in the months that followed. That’s the kind of throughput that finds every weakness in a yard surface. Worn edges. Lifted corners. Mats that shift under stock pressure.
We rang Rob in March for the honest word. The mats were going good.
For an operation the size of NAPCO, where stations sit hours from the nearest hardware run and downtime costs real money, that’s the result that matters. Mats that turn up, go in, and get out of the way of the work.
That’s the standard YoungStar 32 is built to. 32mm of solid rubber engineered for the loads a working beef yard puts through a race every day. Grip underfoot. Comfort that keeps stock moving calmly. Wear life measured in years, not seasons.
If your races are due, or your next set of yards is on the drawing board, the conversation starts the same way Rob’s did. A call, a quick sizing, a price delivered to your nearest freight depot.
Let’s get the right price to upgrade your yard.
